Doe, a deer

Venison is so yummy. I got to finish off Ellen's leftover Venison Chili for lunch. mmmmm

Tonight (Tuesday) I scraped the ice off of my windshield with my elbow so that I could drive to watch a movie at Julia's movie theater. She told me about how she shot and skinned a deer. Julia said that I was not in the majority in my exuberant reaction to her doe-skinning tale. Of course I was impressed, and wanted to know just how she did it, with what tools, and did she eat fresh meat? [I will spare my nauseous readers, but you can ask her for details]

And a then we watched The Queen, where the Queen comments on how beautiful a 14 point buck is, and she hopes it didn't suffer when it died. So the Queen is pretty much an animal rights activist.

But I still think we should be eating more venison . Why bemoan the fact that deer are overpopulated and cause many accidents while we farm raise chickens and cows in horrible conditions just to eat their under nourishing antibiotic-filled, hormone-injected meat?

  1. I told Bankson to get kill the deer that hit me because he probably had a broken leg or something. Then Jon would have dinner.

  2. This is the meat of choice in my humble abode.

    A - because it's free.

B - because it isn't fed corn or any anti-biotics therefore it's healthy.

    I MISS YOU.
